I am starting the third year of my retirement and find myself wanting to accomplish more. I've given myself a free ride for two years and feel somewhat purged of the micro-managed life I led in employment.
I've been having some wonderful art experiences and have learned to use some of the art supplies I've been collecting and hoarding for years. Of course, I've been collecting more supplies as I've learned more.
This past fall I was exposed to Legos and have since built 6 kits. I love Legos!
I've rekindled my enjoyment of puzzles. When did they get so big? One thousand pieces is a very big deal. I think nothing of two thousand plus pieces of a Lego kit but puzzles? I've become very choosy of subject matter on a puzzle that size.
The part of life that eludes me is housekeeping and de-cluttering. As a result, I feel I can't do the fun stuff (art) unless I get a handle on getting my house in order. So, my assignment to myself is to make a plan that is manageable to find a balance between housework and the creative process.
I'm also going to make an effort to report to this blog my achievements or failings in creativity, housekeeping, and health.
